Here we go, my first convention report. I admit that I’ve been putting this off for a long time because I wasn’t sure what to write, but alas, I am here to give you my review of Zenkaikon 2013.
This was also the first convention I had been to that had Artist Alley inside the Dealer’s Room. That was extremely weird to me. I understand limited space and all, but was there really no place else to put Artist Alley? With all of the inevitable congestion of the Dealer’s Room it made it hard to really browse through all of the different tables.
I’ll tell you something though. The con attendees and staff were some of the nicest people I’ve ever encountered at a convention. Everyone was super friendly and polite, even amongst the pushing and shoving to get to a place less crowded.
Unfortunately, our time there was short as we had prior engagements later that evening. We didn’t get to participate in any events, panels, or photo shoots, but for the short time we were there I can say that I would attend this convention again, and I’ll be rooting for a big convention center for next time!
